I’m On a Diet, Can I Have Dessert?

Most people are reluctant to go on a diet or follow a meal plan because it involves some sacrifice on their part.  They think they have to give up the foods they love and that have given them comfort over the years.

One food category that people can’t see themselves going without is dessert.  It’s unfortunate, but the sweet foods such as ice cream, cakes, cookies, candies, etc are packed full of calories and fat.  If you are serious about losing weight then you are going to have to learn how to pare down many of the desserts that you once enjoyed.

But don’t fear! Even though you will be giving up some desserts, there are still things you can have to satisfy your sweet tooth.  One such dessert would be something along the lines of a 100 calorie pack.

Many food companies understand that people need to lose weight and still want to be able to eat sweet goods so these companies have come up with 100 calorie packs.  These little snack packs feature some of your favorite desserts and the serving is only 100 calories.

You can find a wide variety of desserts from many of the top food companies in these packs.  Sure you won’t get as much dessert as you might like, but these companies make it so that you can find a healthy and happy balance between dessert and weight loss.

Other great desserts include Jell-o, pudding cups, and yogurt.  These great snacks are all low on calories which makes them great options to incorporate into your weight loss plan.  Jell-o is by far my favorite because you can consume as much of it as you want.  It is a fat free food and there is even an option to purchase sugar free Jell-o.

Yogurt also makes a great dessert, not only because it tastes wonderful, but it is also loaded with nutrients, protein, and can be customized to your personal flavor specifications.

Just because you’re on a diet doesn’t mean you have to give up dessert all together.  It just means that your dessert options will change.  Instead of grabbing something unhealthy you will opt for a more nutritious snack.  In the long run it will be a good thing because you will lose the weight that is holding you back and quite possibly eliminate your sleep apnea in the process!
