I Just Want My Diet to be Simple

As I have stated before, the best meal plan is one that can be personalized to your needs and works well with your lifestyle.  If cooking healthy foods is too difficult then you won’t stick with it for a very long time and won’t lose the weight you need to.  If you want a meal plan that is going to feature simple ingredients then you are going to have to design your own meal plan to meet your needs.  The key to this is to make sure that you stick with your caloric needs as well as your recommended amounts for carbohydrates, protein, and fats.  From here you can build your meal plan however you would like it to be.

There are many meal plans that feature complicated dishes and take a lot of time to prepare.  While it is good that these plans lay out everything you should be eating; they aren’t always the most flexible.  If you customize your own meal plan then you can take into account factors that might pop up through out your week that could potentially derail your weight loss goals.  Say you had a hectic day at work and you come home for dinner.  Your meal plan says that you must eat said meal, however you don’t have the time or energy to prepare it.  What do you do?  Well if you are following your own well balanced meal plan then you know that as long as you are sticking to your caloric intake then you can consume pretty much whatever you want to.

When you are planning out your meals it should not be complicated.  If someone tells you that you have to have special ingredients and slave over the kitchen in order to lose weight then don’t listen to them.  Dieting is not a difficult task.  As long as you are consuming plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean meats, low fat dairy products, and whole grains then you are good to go.
